A dying world, an evil force, a terrible secret... Set in a fantastical world, Axis lies in a floating forest that climbs high above the clouds. At its center is a village whose people are in grave danger because Axis is withering; its sap is drying up. The people beg their gods for help in vain. Compelled by a mysterious force, Kaena, a rebellious and free-spirited teenage girl will defy the High Priest and her people's beliefs to take a perilous journey through Axis and discover what dark secrets lay beyond the clouds. "Kaena" began as an idea for a video game, and evolved into the first full-length 3D-generated animated film from France.
